Chinese New Year Quilt Pattern by Andrew Whatman

This quilt was drafted and made by my son Andrew. It was his third quilt and he won first prize for his age group at the Royal Canberra and Canberra Quilter's shows with it.  He has kindly allowed me to use it (and pay him royalties).  The finished quilt measures approximately 1.95 metres square (76 inches).  Each block is 12 inches square when finished.  Two similar blocks are alternated and the quilt is on point.  Size can be increased to a full Queen by adding slightly larger borders or a third border.
 
This quilt would also be fantastic with a range of coordinated hand dyes or any other monochromatic (single colour) scheme.
